featured image caption
-
Hi, I have a scheduled post which I have set a featured image for. It has automatically put a caption that I don’t want, how do I edit it?
The site I need help with is janinecobb.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
I checked your scheduled post in the editor, but it’s not loading a featured image for me in the Featured Image section in the sidebar. Can you describe the image you set as featured so I can find it in your media library?
If it’s an image you used before and you set a caption on it before, that caption gets saved for the image in the media library, and is used automatically when you re-use the same image in another post. But featured images don’t display captions, so even if the image in question has a caption attached to it, that shouldn’t be visible.
If that’s visible even after the post is published, please let us know as that could indicate a bug, but it could also just be how the theme’s designer decided it should work with this theme.
If this is intentional behaviour for this specific theme, then you’ll either need to remove the caption from the image in the media library, or you’ll need to upload a new copy of the image to the library, without a caption, and set that version as the featured image instead.
