Featured image cropping

  The image I enter as a featured image is getting cropped badly after I enter it by the theme. It shows only the middle horizontal third, at best. What’s above and below that gets cropped out. Any way to avoid this. Is there an ideal image size that will be sure to get the whole thing in? Thanks.

  Hey Steve,

  The best way to prevent your featured image from being badly cropped would be to use the suggested image dimensions for the theme. They can be found at the bottom of the theme documentation here:

  http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/dynamic-news/

  Here are the two elements I believe you’re referring to:

  The Featured Images used on single posts are 860×280.
  The Featured Images used on the Slideshow are 880×290.

  Can you try adjusting your images to that size and let me know if it makes a difference in how they appear?
