Hi,
Regarding featured images, the Button theme guide says:
Button supports Featured Images on your main blog and archive pages, with detailed accents at the corners for a sweet, vintage look…
The theme does not display featured images set on static pages.

Featured images may be displayed on static pages on most WordPress.com themes, but not on Button.

Hi @lillianbourlandd!
Are you referring to pages like “About” on your site? Those are the static pages @musicdoc1 is referring to. A “Static Page” is any page on your site with defined content of it’s own – as opposed to something like a blog page or category page that changes depending on what was recently published.
Button will display featured images for your post when they are displayed on the blog page, or an archive page like a category listing – but not in individual pages themselves.
You may find some of these themes interesting:
https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/featured-image-header/They support the use of a Featured Image as the header for individual posts or pages (double check the demo for each theme to make sure the individual pages show their own header images) :)
