Featured Image gets displayed in squeezed form on desktop. Looks fine on mobile.

Hello,
I am new to wordpress so apologies in advance if I am asking something very obvious. In my ‘Guatemala’ post under Trips, I added a featured image. On mobile, that images gets displayed on my post just fine. When viewed on desktop, only a slim rectangular section of the feature image gets displayed on top of my post. How can I make it look same on all platforms, or atleast change size of image in desktop mode? Thanks for all help.

Hi there,
I can see the full image when I view the post on my computer:
This is when viewing https://incessantroads.wordpress.com/2022/06/03/guatemala/
If you’re looking at a different page, can you please give the URL? It will also help if you can take a screenshot of what you’re seeing – upload that directly to the media library, and I’ll be able to view it there.

Thanks for responding ! I really appreciate it. I was just about to close this ticket. I finally figured why it was not displaying featured image correctly for me before and fixed it :) !

Hello. I think problem is occurring if I select Header Image for the site and featured image for my posts. If you view my posts on desktop vs on mobile you will see the difference. Any suggestions?

Hi there,
Yes, the navigation bar splits up your header image from your featured image on post pages and also shrinks the featured image. I take it that you want a custom header image on your pages, but on your posts, you want the full-sized featured images?
If so, you will first need to remove the header image from the customizer, as you won’t be able to have the custom header image and a full-sized featured image at the same time. On the post page/home page, choose the post that you want to highlight/feature and then, you will need to use a sticky post to set a featured image for that page:
That will set up a featured post at the top of your Home Page as shown on the theme demo:
https://resonardemo.wordpress.com/?demo
If you want to add a custom header image for each of the other pages (about page, contact page, etc.), you will just add a featured header image through the editor of each individual Page edit instead of adding it through the customizer:
https://wordpress.com/support/featured-images/#featured-header-images
You can find further instructions on setting up the Resonar Theme on its theme page:
https://wordpress.com/theme/resonar/
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
