Featured Image in Penscratch theme

  Hello! I am brand spanking new to this whole blogging world. I want a nice theme with full-sized pictures. I am currently using Penscratch but every time I add a new post it shrinks my featured image to a much smaller and much worse angle of my shot :(
  Any suggestions on how to fix this? What is your favorite free theme for beginners?

  Themes are very subjective and depends on personal preference.

  I suggest you go to http://theme.wordpress.com/ and check the various Trending, Newest, Popular, Free, and Premium themes and pick the one you like.
