Featured image is messed up.

    I’m playing around with the new Gateway theme, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to fix the featured image crop, like my current theme does.

    I’m currently using the Untitled theme, where my images are resized properly into thumbnails without cutting off content. The gateway theme cuts a huge chunk off the picture, like so.

    All help is appreciated, including alternative theme recommendations.

    Hi, that is the way that Gateway is designed. Instead of resizing the image, Gateway crops the featured images so that it will fit into the square space allotted for them. As far as recommendations, I would look through the Theme Showcase and filter the display for Featured Images. Here is a link to that filtered list. In general you want to look for something that displays rectangular images rather than square. You might look at Patch or Expound as possibilities.
