Featured image is not visible

    For the blog, I have set a ‘selected image’ from the bank of images for a blog posting. I see the image whilst I am editing, but when I go back to look at the website, on the blog page I see the writing, but not the image. At the bottom is a squiggle, with the word ‘image’ in italics… What to do?

    It seems that I am not able to view your site since it is private, however this link may assist you.

    Note that not all themes allow for featured images. Check with the link at the bottom of that page to make sure your theme does allow it.

    Your site is private so Volunteers cannot view it, and we Volunteers never request access to sites to help those who post here.

    @tlceal I found the affected post. The word ~Image, in this case, is appearing because you set the post type to Image. I think though that this particular theme doesn’t display featured images on the posts themselves. Older themes sometimes worked that way. Newer themes tend to give you options.

    Maybe we can help you find another theme that does display them?

    Alternatively, you could just insert the image into the post instead of making it featured.
