Featured image is wrong

The publicize feature on wordpress placed a photo on my Facebook Page that was an old Instagram photo running on the side of my main page instead of my featured photo so I had to remove the post and hand post the link to Facebook. Now I also notice that the Reader service is showing a youtube video that was imbedded in the post instead of the featured photo (or any photo). I noticed that google+ and twitter both came out with the proper featured photo though. What’s going wrong? Thanks, Leslie

I am having the same problem. When I post a blog to Facebook via WordPress, instead of using the feature photo, it pulls a completely unrelated Instagram pic. Any help would be appreciated!

This has actually happened many times in the past but I seemed to be able to work around it in the past by removing and reloading those very last photos that might have a better chance of being “selected” by the program for publicize posting. This obviously isn’t working anymore the way I presumed it might. So what exactly are the rules for how a feature photo is posted by the system. Does it select by size? quality? time stamp on the photo? or? Thanks, Leslie
