Featured image issue (on one page only)

    I recently deleted all my media to resize the images in photoshop. I redid the featured images on all the pages and it all went as expected. On the NEWS page, the featured images seems to update. When I visit the site it’s there but if I click to another page and then back to the NEWS page the featured image has defaulted to a preloaded image. It’s the first image in my media folder. I’ve used the same one header on other pages.

    Hi there,

    The News page on your site is set to display your latest posts. This means it doesn’t behave the same as regular pages with static content, and specifically in this case that page will not use the set featured image as header for the page. Instead, it will use the custom header that’s set for the site itself in the Customizer.

    But you don’t have a custom header set, so that page is cycling through the suggested headers that came with your theme instead.

    Click on My Site ->Customize ->Header Image, and set a custom header image for the entire site there.

    You’ll still be able to set header images for specific posts and pages by assigning them featured images, but the custom header you set in the Customizer will then be used on any post or page where you don’t have a header set, including the News page and any archive pages.

    Thank you kokkieh. I’ll try that. I must have done it that way originally as I used to have the header set up before I re-sized all of my media.

    Timethief, I am using the free plan. What makes you think I have an upgraded plan? Do you know something I don’t? LOL
