Featured Image Issues
-
Hello,
I recently created a website with WordPress. On the home page, I had a featured image placed; however, it won’t fill up all of the space for the image, the image is to the left side, and it won’t center or allow me to fit/stretch the image to the dimensions of the featured image box. What can I do to fit the image?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
It may depend upon the featured image size specifications of the theme being used, and other factors. What is the address of the site you are referring to? And can you provide a link to the home page with the featured image you describe?

I’m using the features website, Sela. The website is offtoneverlandweb.wordpress.com. The link takes you to the home page with the image.

Thanks for the site address. The Quick Specs section at the bottom of the Sela theme guide says:
4. The featured image on the front page and on pages works best with images at least 1180 wide.
The featured image at the top of the front page of https://offtoneverlandweb.wordpress.com/, has the dimensions 796 x 398. Here’s the image URL: https://offtoneverlandweb.files.wordpress.com/2016/11/2-5.jpg?w=796&h=398&crop=1. So it’s not wide enough
it won’t center or allow me to fit/stretch the image to the dimensions of the featured image box.
You may use photo-editing software to stretch the image, but then the resolution would be lower. It would look blurry. Can you find a larger version of the same image?

Thank you so much. That was the issue. I kept cropping it to a width of 1180, but I had to change the actual input red width.
Thank you!~~
