Featured image no longer comes up
-
I love the ability to have a featured image that relates to the theme of my individual blog posts, and have used it successfully for quite some time. I’ve not changed anything but suddenly my December blog’s feature image does not come up when you click on the blog title, the way it should. When you click on this particular title (On Friendship and Getting Ahead), the main image of my blog site comes up instead).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

On this post https://blogbydelphine.wordpress.com/2014/12/24/on-friendship-and-getting-ahead/
I view this featured image https://blogbydelphine.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/cropped-img_1883.jpg -
As that is the same image I see on your about page https://blogbydelphine.wordpress.com/about/ I’d like you to confirm your settings please. When it comes to featured image display the correct dimensions are important.
Featured images need to be at least 960 x 260 pixels to be displayed. Smaller sizes, while uploading, will not display on the front-end.

Writing & Editing
Featured ImagesA featured image represent the contents, mood, or theme of a post or page. Posts and pages can have a single featured image, which many themes and tools can use to enhance the presentation of your site.
With custom header images, you can display your own photo on your blog’s page headers. Featured images allow for even greater customization, giving you the option to display unique custom header images for specific posts and pages or set thumbnails for special features of your theme.
Setting a Featured ImageOpen the editor of the post or page where you want to display a unique custom header image, and locate the Featured Image module in the bottom right corner under Page Attributes. Click Choose a Featured Image. See http://en.support.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/mp6-featured-image.jpg?w=688
If you don’t see the Featured Image module on your Add New or Edit Post page, please make sure you’ve selected Featured Image in your Screen Options. http://support.wordpress.com/screen-options

Oops! I accidentally copied and pasted more than I intended to above. Sorry about that. Please let us know whether or not you succeed.

AHA! you offered me an understandable explanation – I’m attempting to use a cropped image, which then obviously does not fit within the necessary standard, and so it defaults to my profile page image of the owl. I know what to do next, then.
Thanks so much!
