featured image not appearing on blog post

  hello,

  I have the box selected to display the featured image on a post, and i have a featured image selected and updated. When i view my site, the featured image does not appear on the post. This is endlessly frustrating and am not sure if it’s a flaw with the site or if i’m doing something wrong

  Did you set a featured image as described in the Featured Images support page? What do you mean by “updated”?

  Hi there,

  I just checked your website. There is not post on your homepage. Please share the link of the post where you are having the issue. Also, mention the theme name you are using.

  Can you check your theme customizer settings and set your home page to display all your latest posts?

  Regarding the featured image at the post beginning, there is usually an option to make the featured image appear on top. (In the Post Settings of Customizer of your theme).

  Add the information in the comment next so that we will be able to guide you.

  it’s this page. Sorry, by updates i mean downloaded the image on the featured image space and clicked update in the upper right hand corner

  Thanks for that update. So the reason a featured image set on that page doesn’t display is simple. It’s because featured images do not display, and cannot be displayed, on pages with the Alto Focus theme applied. It would be nice if the theme guide let us in on that secret, but…

  How you can tell that the Alto Focus theme doesn’t display featured images on static pages:

  1. Try setting a featured image and see if it displays. You did that, and found that it doesn’t display. But there might have been some other reason why it didn’t display, except…
  2. At Customize > Content Options > Featured Images, there is no check box labeled “Display on pages.” It’s not one of the options.

  You’re welcome. : -)

  Most themes do allow featured images to be displayed on pages, so if that’s important to you then you might want to consider switching to another theme.
