Featured image not appearing on page- Matala theme
-
Am changing the header photo on my blog but want to use the featured image function on a couple of the pages instead of the header photo.
I had no trouble selecting the image on the page I wanted and it displays at the bottom of my editing page. I’ve read as much as I could find on this, made sure the right boxes were checked, etc.
The image never shows though, only the header photo.
Does this have anything to do with my front page set to displaying latest posts vs displaying a static page? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That theme does not have featured images designed into the theme. Note the detailed theme description page is at this link http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/matala/ I thought we cleared that up in this thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/matala-has-lost-its-look-on-my-blog?replies=4#post-2079825

yes. thanks I wrote this question before receiving your link. Confusing, but makes sense.

Just one final comment- when I use the filtered search feature to find themes I check off “Featured Images” and Matala comes up. I found another theme that also came up, Misty Lake but that too does not seem to support Featured Images. Is it me or are these two themes mis-coded?
I changed to Misty and would not change back to Matala, but I still would love a Featured Image option. -
