Featured image not displaying in external blog aggregators

  I’m using the Suits theme and usually I set a featured image for each post. This looks great on my Home page, as well as being the first image at the top of the post when you click it. It also shows really well in the Wp Reader.
  However, in Bloglovin and another firehose (http://sewcialists.org/firehose/) I am featured in, it will not display at all, instead it picks the first image of the post (Bloglovin) and just the first few lines of text on Sewcialist firehose.
  Any suggestions on how to get the featured image to display?
