featured image not showing

  Hi all , i am facing problem with featured image when i make a new post in my site
  i have successfully set featured image in my post but after posting it not showing,
  icheck those snap >>

  I am wordpress.com and I have the same question:

  The featured image when i make a new post is not appearing even though I select it as a featured image. On the dashboard the image appears in the FI box, but it is not in the post. It has worked in the past it is just not working now.

  Hi there,
  Structure is an unusual theme.. You need to read this Introduction to the Structure theme very carefully.

  Staff have made a recent change to featured images. The bottom line is you must optimize and presize your featured images to exact dimensions for your theme before uploading them. You need to upload images presized to the right pixel dimensions for your theme. See > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/10/21/on-the-recent-featured-image-issues/ and scroll down to Right dimensions.

  I am having the same problem. My theme is Twenty Eleven (theophilogue.com). Spent all day trying to find just the right pics for each of my pages to give my blog a facelift and then … after setting each on as the “featured image” they wouldn’t show up. It’s not the same just having the image inserted into the post (see here).

  I have yet to find any posts on the support site that give me an easy fix. Do I have to switch themes just to have this option? The pictures I am using are HUGE, so I know that is not the problem.

  Yes, you have to switch themes to have that option. Not all themes use Featured Images.

  Featured images in 2011 replace the regular header image when you view a single post or a static page. They have to be 1000×288 pixels (or larger).

  1) There’s an alternative header image on http://theophilogue.com/top-posts/ . Are you seeing that or not?
  2) Go to Media > Library, hover over the name of one of the FIs that won’t show up, click Edit, copy the file URL, paste it here so we can check it.

  Panaghiotisadam – Thank you. Your comment about the size standards (1000×288) helped. I think I was downsizing them too much to “fit” them to the format. Thanks to your reply, they are working great now: see here, here, and here.
