Featured image not showing on Twitter

    Hi

    I’ve set up a twitter account for my blog (@KelpScotland) and have activated publicise for one post as an experiment. My theme has a featured image function, but unfortunately the featured image does not show up on my tweet.

    Is there some setting change which I need to make to enable it to happen?

    We have no control over the images that Facebook or any other social network chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

    Thanks timethief. I guess publicise is not going to work for me. Even if it did, it would be a less good option than compared to writing a bespoke tweet.

    I have started composing my own tweets, linking to my posts and adding my featured images from my files. (I’m new to twitter and it was remarkably straight-forward). It turns out that my resized image for wordpress also work for twitter. I can also add hashtags which seem important on twitter.
