featured image not working

  Hi there. I am having endless trouble with my ‘feature image’ and hoping someone can help.

  Last week I did a blog post as per usual – I got all my content ready, put in my photo gallery, set a featured image, previewed it and went live. No problem and exactly the same steps I have followed for years.

  A couple days later I was getting another post ready and followed exactly the same steps, however this time when I went to preview, the featured image did not display. I went back to my post and saw the featured image had disappeared. I did it again – clicked on the set feature image button, selected the image (exactly the same size as before), saved the changes, and everything appears as normal. But if I save the draft or preview, the featured image disappears. I thought this may just be a problem in the preview mode so I went live with the post and the problem is still there.

  I did a search and saw other people had said this may be triggered by the plug-ins. I deactivated all my plug-ins and tried again. Nothing. I deactivated all my plug-ins one by one. Still nothing. I am at a total loss about what to do and it is very frustrating.

  Everything on my site is up to date and I am using the Sentence theme. PLEASE help me, I have a series of posts I want to get out and this really impacts my posts badly.

  Any help would be much appreciated…

  Your website seems to be a WordPress.com website , as you are using external plugins To know the difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org

  Hi… thanks for this. The strange part is that for reason I can’t log on to wordpress.org – it says that my email is not registered on that site. It’s confusing and I don’t know how its possible!

  They are two different websites , you need to have a new account with them to be able to use the services on the website .
