featured image not working today

  I usually don’t have this issue but today the featured image that I select does not appear. It defaults to the theme image I’ve chosen for my ‘about my blog’ page.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  i am having a similar problem but a big white box just appears on my homepage instead of the featured image when i post a new story. My featured image for a new story does not appear on my homepage but does in the story itself.

  What browser and version are you using? Are you using the Featured Image box on the side in the Write Post page, or are you going to the Media Library and clicking Set as Featured Image?

  i have tried both ways. I am using Google Chrome mainly but get same effect with safari

  Featured images need to be in specific dimensions. In most themes, FIs that are smaller than those dimensions won’t show up. See here:

  Thank you but I tried the dimensions 920×360 as your support doc indicated for the journal theme and no luck.

  Are you seeing the image in the Featured Image module of the post editor?
  If so, go to Media > Library (dashboard sidebar), hover over the image, click Edit, copy the file URL, paste it here so we can check the image.

  That’s the URL of your dashboard page: we don’t have access to your dashboard. I wrote “the file URL”. The file URL is the URL you can see in the file URL field of that page, not in the address bar of your browser.

  Thank you timethief but that isn’t the issue. I’ve creted 11 other blogs with featured images before. My process of photo album selection hasn’t changed.

  I’ve also tried resizing image and also tested other dimension options just to see if it works. Nothing has worked so far.

  Well, FIs in Adventure Journal will show up only if 920×360 pixels or larger: that image is only 480×360.

  Thank you very much. Odd since all my pictures come from the same source. I will choose another picture later today and give it another try.
