Featured Image on page header

    Hi
    i am using theme ‘affinity’ and have troubles setting the featured image. I customize the page on a laptop. While in edit mode my picture looks just fine.
    In the preview in iPad or smartphone mode it shows just fine. In PC mode it is not – it is magnified, and not corresponding to the settings i made in the featured image section.

    I would like to see it properly shown in PC mode. How to do that?

    WordPress themes typically create multiple sizes for each image you upload, then query the appropriate size given the device viewport size.

    It is possible that when you specify a certain custom dimension that isn’t included as a default size, the browser then tries to scale the image to fit the screen. This may be causing any stretching or image malformities you are seeing. Could you try to describe what is happening to your image a bit more?

    For what it is worth, your images look great on my end at any given device size.

    Thanks a lot for your quick reply. We assumed similar to what you wrote and started using higher resolution pictures.
    We keep on playing with it, it seems we are on a good path ;)
