Featured image set, but not appearing on page

  I am setting up a new blog using the Widely theme. So far I have created two pages, and have uploaded two images of the recommended size (800 x 330), and have set them them as featured images. But when I view the blog, no images appear.

  Originally I had a header image set, which did appear — on both pages. I wondered if this was overriding the featured images, so I removed it. But still the featured images do not appear.

  Please take a look and let me know what the problem is.

  Since posting the above query I have added another page, and a post. The post is displaying the featured image properly.

  So do featured images not work with pages? Yet, in the Support article on featured images it is written

  A featured image represent the contents, mood, or theme of a post or page. Posts and pages can have a single featured image, which many themes and tools can use to enhance the presentation of your site.

  Any thoughts appreciated
