Featured Image shows up TWICE

On our landing page, on our sticky posts, our featured image, although only selected once, and although the CODE for it only appears once, shows up TWICE. How can we get rid of one of the pictures, if we can’t delete code, and if deleting the picture by deleting featured image deletes BOTH?

When images are duplicated that’s because the blogger is inserting the image into the post/page as well as inserting it as a featured image. Have you done that?

Disregard the above reply, go to Appearance > Theme Options, uncheck the option “Show a featured image on single posts”, click “Save changes”.

I apologize for posting the wrong answer. I ought to have recalled this as I once used the same theme but I forgot.
