Featured image thumbnails distorted on homepage

    Hello, I’m really struggling with how my featured images for blog posts are pulling through on the homepage block. I have uploaded them on the posts themselves in the recommended (Dara) size of 880×312, then set my thumbnail image settings as 150×150. On the posts they look fine yet on the homepage they appear stretched or overlapping.

    I have trawled through the support topics on this and tried a few things but no luck. I am on a Premium plan, is it going to be impossible to fix this without upgrading and using a plugin? My plan B is to simply remove the images from the homepage but obviously this is a lot less engaging.

    My site is not yet live but I can share screengrabs if necessary.

    Hi there, sorry for the late reply! I switched them off on the homepage in the end as I couldn’t fix them, but wanted to make the site live. I’ve gone through the setup instructions but can’t find anything on this specific problem. I’ve turned them back on temporarily so you can see what happens:

    I’ve selected the uncropped style here but if I choose square or rectangle they do the same thing – stretch and/or overlap.

    I see what you mean. Would you be willing to change your theme to Shawburn?

    It’s a child theme of Dara and it was created with the Block Editor in mind, while Dara may not work that well with it.
    Let us know how it goes.

    Hi there – thanks for the reply! Shawburn certainly looks similar, I’ll check it out. My site isn’t overly customized or complex so as long as it can do what Dara does, it should be fine. Thanks very much.
