Featured Image to show on email update to subscribers

  Hello,

  I have just recently added subscriber email updates to my blog. I first had “For each article in a feed, show : Full Post” but I didn’t like the full post in every email so I changed it to post summary instead.

  Is there anyway to have a post summary emailed out that includes the featured image of the post? I have been using the ‘read more’ function to limit the text that is emailed out. I know I could add an image above the read more that will show up in emails, but i’d prefer the featured image.

  As a staff member amightywp confirmed on this thread:

  …the featured image does not get included in either the email notification or the RSS feed version of your site. Unfortunately there is no way to make this happen at this time. If there is an image that you very strongly wish to have sent out, we suggest that you include it in the body of your post rather than (or in addition to) your featured image.
