featured image too big for blogrolls
-
Hello
I use the Scratchpad theme and like to use the featured image with each post but on blogrolls the image shows up as quite large instead of tiny thumbnailing like other posts listed.
Is it just this theme or a general problem for all featured images in WordPress that are linked to a blogger’s blogroll?
many thanks
Laura

Hi there,
We have no control over how other services show the images, only how they appear on WordPress.com sites.
If you’re speaking of a thumbnail that appears on another site on WordPress.com, please provide a link to that site, and preferably a screen shot of how it looks to you (you can upload the screen shot to your media library and I’ll be able to see it).
If you’re speaking of a blogroll on a site hosted elsewhere, or on a service like Bloglovin, etc., we can’t do anything about that. You’ll need to contact that service, as it’s their code that’s not resizing the image on that end.

thank you for feedback – I rather assumed it might be a blogger code issue for the blogrolls but just wondered if it was particular to the Scratchpad theme or any that uses Featured image.
Blogger uses the featured image for thumbnail on blogrolls but does not resize – was getting complaints from bloggers so have stopped using this feature.

Blogger as in the Blogger platform? We have no control over how the images appear there, no. If the image isn’t correctly resized on a Blogger site, you’ll need to report it to Google support, as that would need to be fixed on their end.
