featured image too large

  The featured image looks fine on the home page but on the post it’s too large. It takes up the entire width of the page. I’d like it to be about half the size.

  I’m a total newbie to setting up a blog. Please excuse if this is a simple fix.

  I’ve been researching and have tried several strategies like installing image resize plug-ins and editing the size manually but no solutions so far. Any suggestions?

  Looks like you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site. If it’s a theme specific feature you can either use another theme or use custom CSS to control the size of the featured image.

  You can also try to get some help in the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ or contact the developers of the theme you are using.
