Featured Image Won't Show On Posts

I am currently using the Gateway theme, and since I made the switch my featured image will not show up in any of my posts. It shows in the drafts and I have no issue uploading it, but when I go to preview my post or when I go to post it, the featured image will not show up. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem, or should I just use another theme?

Gateway doesn’t display featured images on individual posts. Instead, it will display the featured image alongside a post on the main posts page and will also display a page’s featured image in its header.
If you’d like to include an image on an individual post with Gateway, you’ll therefore need to insert it manually.
If you’d prefer a theme that displays a post’s featured image in the main header, then I recommend searching through our repository for an alternative to Gateway:

Gazette, Sela, and Dyad are a few examples of popular themes that do display featured images in the main header area on individual posts.
If you let me know a little about the particular features you like about Gateway and what you want in a theme then I’ll be happy to offer further suggestions, too.

I’m looking for something that is more of a webpage with information, and a little bit of a blog. My main goal is to provide more of a “business card” style website.
I like that Gateway can be used on all formats, phone, tablet and desktop.
I like that is has a fixed header display.
I like the color theme.
I like that is just looks clean and doesn’t feel like someone is being overwhelmed with information.
The video option, or location isn’t that important to me.
I need a featured image for the main site part of the site because this is my main focus. Blogging is only something I do from time to time.

All of the most recent themes in our repository adapt to the size of the screen they’re being viewed on and so will look good across a range of devices.
In terms of your other requirements: Karuna, Sela, and Edin all clean themes that allow you to feature a large image.
As you’re after more of a site than a blog, I recommend using the Business and Custom Header filters in the theme repository to further browse:
