Featured Image Won't Update

I’ve uploaded several images for my featured image, using the feature on the bottom right, on a particular page with Twenty Eleven template. They won’t show up — just the my main header from my home page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you set a featured image (see relevant Support doc) to a post or static page, that image will replace the default one when you view that post or static page. The featured image will work on all single post pages, static pages, and it works on the special “showcase” page.

I have added a feature image, and it shows as the header in the preview of the post, then it does not show when the post is published. The image does show as the featured image along the side of the edit page. Vostok theme. http://linniew.wordpress.com/

I think I get it now. The featured image only comes up with the post when the post is not on the “Home” page (is no longer the latest post). The “Home” page shows the standard header no matter what post is current. Do people create post-less Home pages?
