featured images?

  I cant get clear how to get featured small thumb. images like on originals, on my site. The text is going out of frames. There are not separate, bolt and simple letters. All are in one line. If i set up four images, i cant get them in horizontal line, as soon as start add text, all replaces in vertical line, and my main image with being text disappears at all. Three weeks has gone no one can explain me how to operate. I follow instructions, after home page is only nightmare.
