Featured Images

    Hello! I’m new to the WordPress world, so I was wondering if someone can answer a question. When I select a featured image, is it possible to make that image not appear in the post itself? They reason I ask is because I like the featured image, but then when you click into the post, I don’t like it looming on the top of the post. Does this make sense? Maybe there’s a CSS code that will do this? Please help, if you can! Thank you!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Howdy –

    Yep. We can do that with some CSS work.

    If you click on My Sites < Customize > CSS you will see that I’ve added this bit

    .content-single .wp-post-image {display:none;
    }

    Now your featured images are only showing on the Blog page and not carrying over in to the full post.

    Let me know if I can help with anything else :)

    Thank you so much! So far, my “conversion” from Tumblr to WordPress has been a breath of fresh air!
