Featured Images and headers?

  Hi guys I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. I’ve been trying to get some ideas on a new theme. I have decided i would like to go for a magazine type layout.

  Ultimately I would love to get the massive press theme but the header is so small, does anyone know if there is a way to get the header twice the depth? I have seen this has been done but can’t find a solution and I don’t want to purchase until I am sure this can be done. I have sent an email to the creator but they haven’t yet got back to me.

  My other question is…how do I make all my featured images neater. When I view magazine type themes such as expound and oxygen my pictures are cropped in strange places. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to go back and crop them.

  Any advice would be much appreciated.

  Also guys if anyone has any tips on how to make a featured image invisible on only the individual blog post I would be much obliged. I want featured images for my mobile version but not at the top of every blog post!
