Featured Images and Media Library

  I can only seem to load a featured image from my Media Library and wondered if there was any way to host the featured image elsewhere, (photobucket for instance) and link to it there, 3gb is a fairly small amount of space and whilst my blog isn’t massively image intensive it will need to be addressed at some point.

  Also, if it is not possible are images that are uploaded to the Media Library compressed in any way?

  We do optimize images that are uploaded to the media library, automatically, but it’s not possible to ‘link’ images hosted elsewhere to your featured images.

  3GB should be sufficient to host at least one thousand images, and if you need more space, we do offer several upgrades: https://habitatforheavyhearts.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php
