Featured Images Aren't the Correct Size

  I’m using the Twenty Fourteen theme currently for my sports blog, and I can’t seem to find the dimensions for featured images anywhere.

  I’ve tried to eyeball it, and while some of my images look like the right size on my home page, they leave an awkward blank space when you open up the post. Basically, it looks tacky that way.

  I’m trying to find the right size that fits on both the home page before you open up the story, and that also takes up the entire space when the post is open.

  If someone could please help me fix this, I would appreciate it!
