Featured Images Not Appearing in Home Page

  I recently added category images to my site but soon realised they they override all other blog post images under those categories.

  I have now removed the category images however the individual post images have not reverted back on some posts, plus when I try to set a new featured imaged they won’t show on the main page.

  Does any one know how to fix this?

  Also does anyone know how to create category images and not have them override individual posts under that category?
