Featured Images Not Displaying on Blog Frontend – WordPress Hosted Blog

  Hi team,

  I’m managing the blog for our company website https://celoxis.com/blog, which is hosted on WordPress.com. The issue I’m facing is that the featured images for blog posts are not displaying on the live frontend, even though they are properly set in the WordPress editor for each post. Featured images appear correctly in the post editor and preview, but are missing on the main blog page and archive pages.
  

  Please help me understand how I can fix this and ensure featured images appear properly across the site.

  Hi there,

  I understand you’re seeing an issue on your blog page at https://www.celoxis.com/blog, where the post images aren’t showing up — even though things look fine in your WordPress.com dashboard. I looked into this and can help explain what’s going on.

  Your posts are loading properly through the API, including the titles and content, which is great. The images, however, aren’t showing because of a Content Security Policy (CSP) restriction. The browser is blocking them with this error:

  Refused to load the image from WordPress.com.

  The images are accessible directly, so it’s not a loading issue — it’s just that your site’s current CSP doesn’t allow images from WordPress.com. I’ve attached a quick screencast so you can see exactly what I’m seeing.
  

  

  Just a quick note — your website https://www.celoxis.com isn’t hosted on WordPress.com. It looks like you’re using a different hosting provider, most likely AWS. On your blog page, you’re displaying posts from WordPress.com using the API, which is working well — except for the images, due to the current CSP restriction.

  To get this sorted, you’ll need to update your CSP header to allow images from WordPress.com.

  Here’s what the updated policy will most likely need to include:

  Content-Security-Policy: img-src 'self' data: https://ct.capterra.com https://*.wordpress.com;

  You can share this with your hosting provider — they’ll be able to add the most relevant code to address the issue. Once that’s updated, the images should display normally.
