Featured images not in permalink
-
Featured image posts are empty permalinks, title and text but no pic. A normal posted image goes straight to the JPG, close enough.
Do I need a link or short code in body to fix this? The google, it does nothing. Thank you!

Different themes display images in different ways.
I checked https://thflg.wordpress.com/ and I see that it is currently using the Visual theme. In that theme, featured images are displayed on the home page (if posts are setup to display there, looks like that’s how your blog is setup) and it will also show featured images on archive pages and search pages. The Visual theme does not have an option to show featured images on individual posts.
There are more details about the Visual theme at https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/visual/ if you’re interested.
There is not a way for you to change how featured images work in a theme on WordPress.com, so you just need to pick a theme that works best for you based on what each theme is designed to do.
If you like the Visual theme and want to stick with it, you can try adding an image to the post itself as well as adding it as a featured image if that will work better or not.

Thank you; every theme has its drawbacks. Funny, “Visual” is all about the images, but doesn’t post the images! Appreciate the help!
