Featured images won’t show on blog homepage

Hello guys!
I bought this paid website template and the company I bought it from used to have incredible support but now they have disappeared and never respond to support tickets. Will this be a problem in the future?
At the moment I am struggling with featured images for blog posts. They won’t display on the home page or blog page.
I am able to select an image but it won’t display once published.

This is not something that WordPress.com support can assist with as we do not have any connection with any themes other than the ones we build ourselves. But to be honest, that doesn’t sound good and could likely be a problem down the road.

Can you please share the URL of a specific post where you are seeing this happen? We’ll be happy to take a look.

Thank you for this response. So I bought this theme as a WordPress premium theme. Is there a way to reach out to the developer or are you not associated at all?
My sight is not live yet as the images are glitching- are you able to help on the backend?

They used to be very responsive but they have just stopped responding to support tickets

They have not responded to any support tickets at all the last time I sent a message was more than a month ago and there has been no response.

That’s unfortunate to hear. We are not affiliated with the theme developers for the Semplice theme. Since you’ve had this issue for awhile, and haven’t heard back from them, now might be the time to switch to a different theme, such as Twenty Twenty Two. Newer block-based themes use full site editing (FSE), which allows you to customize the template for your site.
