Featured images/correct card not showing on Facebook

  As of May 22nd, the Publicize function of WP isn’t functioning properly anymore:

  1 it no longer shows just the card (featured image and title) with a wp link but instead major chunks of the blogpost itself plus a direct link to my blog;
  2 for the last 2 days it also no longer shows the correct featured image but instead some random image.

  The only solution so far I have been given is to run each post through the Facebook debugger. This would be a perfectly fine solution if one is posting MANUALLY every single blogpost. However, quite a ridiculous thing to do if one is using Publicize. It means having to go to Facebook to delete the already publiziced post (and most likely viewed by the fans), run the link through the debugger and then repost from there….which to my knowledge meand it shows up on people’s feeds AGAIN and I do not like to annoy people in that way.

  This renders the Publicize function useless. I pre-schedule all of my posts and therefore rely on Publicize to do what it is there for.

  I really need a proper solution for this from WP’s end as I do believe it is an issue with the Publicize function and not, as I have seen coming up, to do with how Facebook looks for an image on each post.
