Featured Pages

  Hi! I keep on trying to create featured pages for my About, Portfolio, and Contact pages that will display on the Home page. No matter how I mess around with the settings, I am not able to get the featured pages to display on the home page. What steps should I take next? I am using the Edin theme.

  You can create menu items for your homepage and link them to the correct pages using the Editor tool in your WP Admin dashboard.

  Go to Appearance>Editor and navigate to the Menu option. From here you can select whether to include Posts, Pages, or URL links in the Header/Footer/Sidebar menus.

  You may also need to adjust the Default settings for your theme. By default it uses a compact Menu in the top-right and a Footer menu, but no Header menu. You can find instructions to do this in the Themes menu by searching for “Edin” and clicking on Info.

  @sarahadassah223, can you also try editing the front page, and make sure its template set is set to Front Page? Save changes and refresh; that should do the trick. Though you might like the newer themes better since they’re significantly more flexible. Let us know if you need help!
