Featured posts area home page problems

  Just started up this site: topyourleague.com and don’t much coding experience whatsoever. I’m having a couple problems that I hope someone could help me with:

  1. On the homepage, the slide that should show the recent posts in the featured area is not coming up as it is on the other category pages

  and

  2. On the category pages, above the featured area recent posts, there is the title of the category. ‘BASEBALL’, ‘BASKETBALL’, etc. I want to remove that, don’t know how.

  The theme is Hot Topix by the way.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. Your question is about a commercial theme for a self-hosted installation of WordPress. I recommend that you ask your theme’s support forum, as they are in a better position to answer your questions.
