Featured posts not showing as grid on Canard theme

    I am just playing around with posts so they aren’t full posts but on the page they are not showing as the grid like on the demo. Any ideas what I have set wrong?
    Also, I paid for the .com name but can’t figure out how to get that installed. Sorry for the newbie ignorance. Always used blogspot.

    Hi,

    The five posts in the grid at the top of the Canard demo are featured content posts.

    From the Canard theme guide:

    The homepage allows you to prominently display your choice of up to five posts in a crisp grid. Select which posts to display with the “featured” post tag, or designate a different tag in Appearance → Customize. The Featured Content area displays when your front page is set to show your latest posts – use it to make sure your best articles get noticed.

    Hello,
    I have been using the Canard theme but when I have tried to set featured posts, I haven’t had success. As I go to Appearance > Customize, I do not have an option for “featured” posts. I do have my front page set to show latest posts and I have added the default tag of “featured” on the posts I desire to appear there. Is there something I may be missing or doing incorrectly?

    kcorona23 – I don’t see any WordPress.com sites on your account, do you have one?

    If you’re using Canard on a self-hosted site running on your own hosting, you’ll need to activate the Jetpack plugin to get the Featured Content option.
