Featured Slider Missing

  So I am setting up my site right now under the SKYLARK Theme, and for some reason the featured slider that should be on the front of the page is missing.

  I have already completed the following steps
  1. Created a page and selected “Showcase Template”
  2. Set front page option to “static page”
  3. Set the new page w/ the showcase template to the “front page”

  I have also created a few posts and made them sticky w/ featured images (you can see this in the blog section) but for some reason, there is no slider on the home page.
