Featured tag in twenty fourteen vanishing

The featured tag on my posts keep disappearing.
I’m using the twenty fourteen theme and have 6 posts I want on the front page. When I am at the old /wp-admin posts section I can select the posts with a featured tag, only two have the ‘featured’ tag visible under the tags column.
If I try and add the tag in the new posts editor it doesn’t work at all.
I keep adding the tag and it sticks for a while then vanishes (along with the post from the front page)
Any suggestions?

Bach’s Coffee Cantata & Faure RequiemAt the moment all 6 are remaining visible on the front page, but only the upcoming concerts has a tag visible in the old wp-admin editor. The others had to have the tag put in using the old editor – or it didn’t work – but now the tag is only visible in the new editor! Confused!?!

Thank you for posting this information. I’ll need to take a further dive in to what is causing these posts to act like they are tagged for featured content when they don’t have the associated tag. The tags aren’t behaving correctly, it’s not you, it’s us!

I’ll post an update back here once I have more news. Can you clarify whether or not the site is being displayed as you intended? Specifically the 6 posts showing in the featured content section.

Generally appearing as I would like (I want those 6 posts featured)
However coffee cantata has just disappeared so I’ve fixed it back on by re-adding the tag in the old wp-admin. -
I’ve asked our developers to take a look and I’ll post an update once I have more news. Unfortunately, I am unable to give an exact time frame.

We are still collecting data on this issue. It is not a wide spread issue which is why it is taking a bit longer to nail down the cause.
Please share any recent posts that have been affected.
