Featured/top image on posts
-
Hello,
I have recently switched over from Blogger to WordPress. When I add a featured image, it looks fine on my homepage but absolutely huge at the top of the post. When I add the picture at the top of the post, it appears underneath the huge featured image. Is there any way around this? Apologies in the likely event that I’m being thick. Thank you.

Hi there! Featured images look good on the home page, but are too huge on the actual posts. Got it. You can disable the featured image from appearing at the top of your posts, but keep it on the home page. Here’s how…
1. Go to your Customize tool: https://theseagullline.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php
2. Click on Content Options
3. Under “Featured Images” uncheck the box next to “Display on single posts”
That will hide it from the top of your posts.
Now, if you add an image to the top of your posts it’ll be smaller, just as you’re expecting, without the huge featured image getting in the way.
Try that and let us know if that doesn’t quite get you where you want to go with this. And welcome to WordPress.com!
