  What are the general features in WordPress that are basic and what are the extras that hosts try to play as special or might even be special that are not in the general offer?

  In general, there are a lot of free features in WordPress.com sites. For example, you can write and publish as many posts and pages as you would like, there’s no limit. You can connect your social media accounts so they also display and promote your blog posts when you publish them. You can view statistics on your blog’s readership and much, much more; all of that on the free plan.
