Features of domain mapping

  I think I should purchase domain mapping through WordPress. I think that would mean the following:
  1. My permalinks would appear as mydomain.com/2008/07/25[…] etc.
  2. Currently existing permalinks that browsers may have been bookmarked in browsers as hebrewschool.wordpress.com/2008… etc. are not broken; they still show, but as mydomain.com/[etc.]
  3. WordPress dashboard still can be used to post, check stats, etc.

  Correct? Am I dreamin’?

  1 You’re correct, however all your uploads will still have whatever.wordpress.com URLs.
  2 They are not broken, but they do NOT change.
  3 Yes.

  Great. Thanks Raincoaster. And a follow-up: If I want to be able to edit css once my domain is mapped, can I still do that through the paid wordpress option?

  Well, if I’m here, I try to help. I got a lot of help out of these forums when I started my blog here and I’m just trying to pay it back.
