Featuring Main Blog on my home/welcome page

  How do I feature my most recent blog every time one is posted to automatically show up on my ‘Welcome’ page, which is my home screen?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi mweav21,

  1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
  2. On the sidebar of the Customizer click on the Static front page -> select Your latest posts option in Front page displays

  Hi @mweav21

  Your them might benefit better from having your most recent posts show up on the side of your “Welcome” page.

  To add your most recent Blog posts to the side, go to Customize > Widgets > Sidebar > Add Widget > Recent Post and then you can customize the layout the way you want.

  Is there any way to add the featured image as well with the blog on that sidebar?

  Unfortunately, the widget doesn’t seem to support showing the featured image for the post on that sidebar.

  The only way I can get the featured images to show for each post is when I have all content removed from my “Welcome” page and just mark that I would like “Your latest posts” shown in the Static Front Page setting under the Customizer.

  Sorry about that!

  You can also explore the Portfolio option offered by WordPress, depending on how important those posts are to you. You would have to change themes but at least you can display your latest posts with featured images.
