Feaured image to be displayed with recent posts

  Hi,
  When I use the widget “Recent posts” only the name of the recent posts is displayed on the right side of my blog but not the feautured image.
  I wanted the featured image to be displayed as well.

  Also is there some way to display few images from my previous posts on my home page so that the reader gets to see more of my work.

  There is no way to include the images in the Recent Posts widget. It is not configurable.
