Feauted images not displying properly

  Featured images are not displaying properly and i’m using Oxygen which has custom headers. i’ve cleared my cookies and cache and can’t get rid of the old images even though the correct images are displaying in the “set featured image” on the back-end.

  can’t get rid of the old images

  Any image you delete from your media library can no longer be displayed.

  None of the information above applies directly to the issue i’m having. I’m trying to set a different featured photo on each page of the site. I’ve uploaded all the images per specs and they appear in the “featured image” when editing pages but not when i go to view/publish the page. any suggestions?

  Hi there,
  Only some themes have custom header images that overtake the site header image and replace it and Oxygen is not among them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#featured-header-images

  If that’s not what you are referring to then I apologize. I can only direct you back to what I posted above re: featured posts with featured images, which display in the post slider if you set up in the Showcase page template.

  Thank you. so i switched to the twenty eleven theme which is listed as a theme that has flexible headers. as i’m using this as a website rather than blog site, i just want different header images on each. if i’m reading the documentation correctly, using the “featured image” feature, just uploads that image with a new post, not necessarily with each page?
