Fee domain transfer and other

    Hello guys.

    I think I found a solution to my problem. I would like to choose the personal plan (€ 48) and transfer my domain to wordpress. However, the transfer will take place within a month or so.

    In this regard, I have two questions:

    1) In addition to € 48, will there be additional fees for the transfer?
    2) At the time of transfer, will my domain be managed completely by wordpress?
    3) To complete the transfer, should I ask to my domain registrar for specific information that wordpress may need?

    Hi @ffrerrarelli!

    With a Personal Plan, you can use the domain that you already own and map it or transfer it to WordPress.com with no extra cost. You can either decide your domain to stay with your current provider and point the domain to WordPress.com (Domain Mapping) or entirely transfer the registration to WordPress, so that your domain registration and billing will be moved from your current domain provider to WordPress.com, and you will manage everything in one place. It’s up to you.

    Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
    I choose the transfer option to not pay two season subscritions per year. However, I have verified that the transfer of my domain to wordpress.com will only be possible starting from April 11th. The wordpress system tells me also that though I can connect the domain to the site now, without transferring it.
    What does this mean in practice?
    Can I start working on my wordpress site in the meantime?
    After 11 April will I manage the site independently via wordpress only?
