I was charged 99 $ for an account that I agreed to pay for one year only two years ago. I have not been using my account since. How do I get reimbursed?

Hi there,
The account that you’re using to post here does not own any upgrades on WordPress.com. What is the site for which the renewal was charged? Please note we can only refund a payment if requested by the account that owns the upgrade in question.
When you bought that upgrade you agreed to our renewal policy which states that WordPress.com upgrades are subscription-based and will renew every year unless you cancel it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think that according to the 48 hours refund rule, I’d like to simply cancel my account and get the refund. Can you please help me do that?

As I said above, your account does not own any upgrades.
For what site did this upgrade renew? We both need to know the site in order to find the payment in our system, and we need you to confirm here as the account that actually owns the upgrade, before we can refund your payment.

Hi @oliviere605874071, the upgrade is on the username account olivieremond. If you log into that account, you can request a refund. After you do that, it could be 10-12 days before that refund will show up on your statement, but we issue refunds nearly immediately.
If you do not have the password for that account anymore, see this support page on how to recover that account so that you can get the upgrade.
